Submitting a nomination
Complete the nomination form for the applicable award and submit it, along with the nomination statement and any supporting documentation, according to the instructions provided with the form. Please identify the award for which the individual is being nominated and provide the nominee’s name and contact information.
Eligibility
The nominee must be a member in good standing. Membership status will be verified as part of the nomination review.
Nomination statement
Provide a comprehensive statement explaining why the nominee deserves the award. Describe specific events, initiatives, innovations, or significant achievements in emergency management. Explain what the nominee did, the impact of those contributions, and what distinguishes the nominee as an exceptional candidate. Specific examples and measurable results, where available, will help the reviewers understand the scope and significance of the nominee’s work.
The statement may be submitted on a separate sheet. Use 1-inch margins and 12-point Times New Roman font.
Supporting documentation
You may attach materials that substantiate the nomination, such as letters of recommendation, reports, news articles, or other relevant evidence. Please identify how each attachment relates to the nominee’s contributions.
Selection process
Nominations will be scored using an evaluation rubric and reviewed by the Nominations Committee. Both the rubric scores and the committee’s review will be considered in selecting the award recipient.
